Working Bee at Police Community Gardens
11am @ Raglan Police Station
Springtime! Sowing seeds, planting potatoes, and getting the community gardens all set up for a productive summer! Next Thursday October 1st too.
Thats Not My Bag Baby
7 - 10pm @ Union Church Hall, Steward St
Make reusable produce bags, shopping bags and reduce your single-use plastic! Materials provided. BYO sewing machine if possible, or share with someone there.
This weekend
Sustainable Coastlines will be planting 600 native trees lovingly raised by Harbourcare on the peninsula in front of Raglan Area School (Kaitoke walkway), which was cleared over the last month by a huge crew of community workers.
Friday 27th September
Planting @ RAS
9am @ Raglan Area School (meet at carpark)
Volunteers needed to help plant trees with Raglan Area students. A BBQ meal will be provided to any volunteers who register at www.sustainablecoastlines.org
Saturday 28th September
Planting @ RAS followed by Raglan Eco-fest
9am @ Raglan Area School
1pm - 4pm at Town Hall
Volunteers needed in the morning to finish pnating. Again, a BBQ meal will be provided for all volunteers that register at www.sustainablecoastlines.org
Afterwards, all are welcome to head down to the Town Hall for a Raglan Eco-fest and Sustainable September wrap-up. Meet your local enviro-groups, learn how you can get involved and enjoy a free film screening to wrap-up a month of activities!
